This is too easy! It doesn’t matter where I am or what I’m doing, if a cat shows up, I’m distracted. I was visiting the appropriately named The Local Store in Picton, Ontario. They had beautiful handmade crafts, jewelry, books, paintings, and gourmet foods. The owners have a store cat. Well, that was all it took. I spent more time with the cat, than looking at the store items.

Day 15 of Photography 101: Landscape. This photo was taken in North Dundas County in Eastern Ontario. The tree caught my eye. When I stopped to photograph it, I saw the barn. Well, needless to say, I was a very happy country girl.
I find broken down barns interesting to shoot. Each one is unique, with it’s own history. Here’s another find during my last country drive. It was snowing a bit, hence the white spots you might see.
I really like to take pictures of old barns. There’s just something about them that I find fascinating.
Another local barn that I drive by frequently. I always meant to stop and take a photo. This time, I did!
I live in the Canadian countryside. This time of year, there are not too many people walking on the streets. So, my mission of finding great subjects for street photography is limited. I did come across this old barn. It’s falling apart. I’m sure it once stood proud, but now it holds a history that is a mystery to me.
I have driven in front of this red barn many times. One day, I stopped.
