Weekly Photo Challenge: Elemental

Elemental

A bench by the St-Lawrence River in Prescott, Ontario. It was very windy that day. Sitting down to watch the beautiful scenery was a sure way to get soaked!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Ooh, Shiny!

Ooh, Shiny!

This is too easy! It doesn’t matter where I am or what I’m doing, if a cat shows up, I’m distracted. I was visiting the appropriately named The Local Store in Picton, Ontario. They had beautiful handmade crafts, jewelry, books, paintings, and gourmet foods. The owners have a store cat. Well, that was all it took. I spent more time with the cat, than looking at the store items.

Sunset and shadows

Sunset seen through the front porch door.

Little bird house

Little bird house found on the side of the South Nation River at the Spencerville dam.

Underneath

The living room lighting casted interesting shadows underneath the tray table. Sometimes, it’s the little things. Right?

Weekly Photo Challenge: Danger

OxfordMillsDam Danger!

There were many overflowing dams in Eastern Ontario and Quebec. This is one, in Oxford Mills, is small compared to the others. Still, the current is strong, and dangerous.

Tonight’s moon

Moon

Usually, when I take a photo of the moon, it comes out as a bright haloed white circle, which, can be lovely, but I had taken enough of those photos. Tonight, I finally got the settings the way I wanted them!

Moonlit night

Moonlight Night

A case of extreme post processing for the fun of it. 🙂

I just happened to be taking photos of mailboxes the other day. When I saw this weeks challenge, I thought, how serendipitous!
