Back in August, I posted about my cat Lizzie. It’s now Bunny’s turn to be in the spotlight!! Here’s her story:

When I found Bunny three years ago, she was in poor health. She was so scrawny. You could feel all the bones of her spine and her rib cage. She couldn’t walk properly due to lack of muscles in her hind legs. She hoped along like a bunny, hence her name. When I brought her to the vet, she was diagnosed with toxoplasmosis, likely as a result of eating garbage. The vet found a microchip. She had actually been adopted from a shelter, but, after scratching her owner, was left outside to fend for herself. Since the owner didn’t want to reclaim her, Bunny now had a new mommy. Me!!

Well, that first night at home, she ate like a queen!!

It was all uphill after that!

In all honesty, you had me at cat. That cat is beautiful! Love and a good home can do so much for cats. Actually, Bunny’s story sounds a bit like my cats’ story: they were found on a neighbour’s roof as tiny kittens, with no mother to be found and they were STARVING. Now one of them’s not just chubby and her sister and her live with us happily.
